Kalid Usman

Khalid Usman is Senior Vice President with Diio. His responsibilities include maintaining Diio's aviation planning support tools and assisting clients with their data and IT needs.

Prior to joining Diio, Mr. Usman was Manager - Resource Planning for NetJets. In that capacity Mr. Usman was responsible for developing and deploying a planning model which forecasted supply and demand imbalances. He was also responsible for improving their long-term forecasting methodologies by using time series techniques, and for developing an intranet planning portal for the company, with automated reports and forecasts.

Before joining NetJets, Mr. Usman was Project Leader for Profibability Forecasting Model Development and Code Share Optimization at United Airlines. At United, Mr. Usman developed and refined the airline's forecasting tool, used econometrics to calibrate market share models, optimization models, and market yield, and supported numerous other data intensive efforts within United.

Mr. Usman started his aviation career at Pakistan International Airlines where he worked on scheduling the airline's fleet to increase reliability and cost savings.

Mr. Usman holds a Master's in Supply Chain and Logistics Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA in Aviation Management from Concordia University, Montreal. He has an undergraduate degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Pakistan Airforce, Academy.
